We believe that in order to grow in their faith our students must be connected in good solid relationships with other Christians and they must be rooted in Biblical truth. It is our goal that each of our students experience the Word of God in loving relationships with each other and adults throughout our ministries.
Sunday mornings from 9:30 - 10:15 throughout the school year our Middle School Students meet with Pastor Dan Mershon as they go through the Catechism classes. Here we study things like why we believe in the Bible, The Ten Commandments, The Lord's Prayer, The Apostle's Creed, how Christianity is different from other religions, and what it means to be Lutheran. At the end of their 8th grade year, students have the opportunity to decide if they wish to affirm the promises made over them at baptism for themselves.
Sunday Nights throughout the year we offer a middle school/high school Bible study. Shortly after Pastor Dan arrived in town a few of the parents from our community asked if he would lead a bible study for their kids. Most of these kids were boys on the basketball team with Pastor's son. Delighted to do so, the Bible study began. These students come from a wide variety of Christian traditions including the German Baptist church, Pentecostal church, Catholic Church, Methodist Church, Baptist Church, Lutheran Church, and a handful of Non-denominational churches. This Bible Study begins at 6:30 on Sunday nights and while we're usually done around 7:30, teens tend to hang out until 8:00.
Summer Trips: Each year we try to take our students on a summer trip. These trips are either discipleship or service oriented (usually both). Pastor Dan has led wilderness trips, home-repair trips, trips to Native American Reservations, and trips overseas.
All of our children and youth leaders are required to have background checks and comply with our child protection policy. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
